‘Red Flower’, an engaging action thriller directed by Andrew Pandian and produced by K. Manickam of Sri Kaligambal Pictures with Vignesh as protagonist wraps up shoot
*’Red Flower’ gears up for grand release in September*
The team of ‘Red Flower’, an adrenaline pumping action thriller directed by Andrew Pandian and produced by K. Manickam of Sri Kaligambal Pictures with Vignesh as protagonist, has announced wrapping up the shoot and commencing post-production.
Andrew Pandian, a visual effects expert, is making his debut as a director with ‘Red Flower’, an engaging entertainer set in the backdrop of changed global order post the fictional World War 3.
Says the director, “the entire cast and crew have worked tirelessly to bring this project to life, and their dedication has culminated in a series of captivating performances and stunning visuals. With the shooting phase now behind us, we are eagerly moving into post-production.”
Andrew Pandian adds: “This stage involves meticulous editing, sound design, visual effects, and scoring to ensure that the film meets the highest standards of cinematic excellence. Our talented team of editors, sound engineers, and visual effects artists are already hard at work, adding the finishing touches to what promises to be a truly remarkable movie experience.”
Produced by K. Manickam on Sri Kaligambal Pictures banner, the film is slated for release in the first week of September. “We are confident that audiences will be captivated by the story, the performances, and the overall production quality,” the director states.
‘Red Flower’ features actor Vignesh of ‘Kizhakku Cheemayile’, ‘Raman Abdullah’ and ‘Aacharya’ fame in the lead. For the first time, he is playing a dual role in this movie. The compelling tale follows the journey of twin brothers, Vicky and Michael (both played by Vignesh), who share an unwavering passion for joining the Indian Army. The story unfolds in a world reshaped by the aftermath of a world war. Vignesh says he reduced his weight from 82 kg to 69 kg for his contrasting characters in this movie and underwent stunt and other trainings abroad.
Manisha Jashnani plays the heroine. Other prominent faces in the film’s cast are Nassar, Y G Mahendran, Suresh Menon, John Vijay, Ajay Rathnam, Leela Samson, T M Karthik, Gopi Kannadasan, Thalaivasal Vijay, Mohan Ram and Yog Japee.
‘Red Flower’ has cinematography by K. Deva Surya, music by Santhosh Ram and editing by Aravinthan. While Prabhakaran is the VFX director, Idi Minnal Elango has taken care of stunts, Mani Amuthavan has penned the lyrics, and Kartik is the production designer. A.P. Mohammed is in charge of make-up, A. Amal Raj has taken care of costumes and stills are by Theni Seenu.
The film has stunning 11 fight sequences in aeroplane, military truck, container ship etc. Stunt Master Idi Minnal Elango has given his best in our film, the director says, adding: “VFX director Prabhakaran’s set supervision was ultimate. His well-planned paper work and story boarding gave us maximum energy to drive during shoot.”
Talking about cinematography, director Andrew Pandian says, “the brilliance of K Deva Surya’s work behind the camera lens has not only elevated our storytelling but has also set a new standard for cinematic excellence. His keen eye for composition, lighting nuances, and camera movement has brought a distinct visual identity to our film.”

மூன்றாம் உலகப் போருக்குப் பிறகு நடைபெறும் சர்வதேச மாற்றங்களின் பின்னணியில் ஒரு பரபரப்பான கற்பனை கதையை உருவாக்கி அதை ‘ரெட் ஃப்ளவர்’ என்ற பெயரில் ஆக்ஷன் திரைப்படமாக இயக்கியுள்ளார் ஆண்ட்ரூ பாண்டியன். இப்படத்தில் ‘கிழக்கு சீமையிலே’, ‘ராமன் அப்துல்லா’, ‘ஆச்சார்யா’ புகழ் நடிகர் விக்னேஷ் முதல் முறையாக இரட்டை வேடத்தில் நடிக்கிறார்.
திரைப்படம் பற்றி இயக்குநர் ஆண்ட்ரூ பாண்டியன் பேசுகையில், “நடிகர்கள் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்ப குழுவினரின் அயராத அர்ப்பணிப்பின் காரணமாக மிகச் சிறந்த முறையில் ‘ரெட் ஃப்ளவர்’ உருவாகி வருகிறது. படப்பிடிப்பு வெற்றிகரமாக நிறைவடைந்து போஸ்ட் புரொடக்ஷன் பணிகளை ஆவலுடன் தொடங்கி உள்ளோம்,” என்றார்.

ஸ்ரீ காளிகாம்பாள் பிக்சர்ஸ் பேனரில் கே.மாணிக்கம் தயாரித்துள்ள இப்படம் செப்டம்பர் முதல் வாரத்தில் திரையரங்குளில் வெளியாகிறது. “இக்கதை ரசிகர்களை கவரும் என்று நாங்கள் நம்புகிறோம், உலகத் தரத்தில் படத்தை மெருகேற்றி வருகிறோம்,” என்று இயக்குநர் மேலும் தெரிவித்தார்.
இரட்டை சகோதரர்களான விக்கி மற்றும் மைக்கேலை சுற்றி கதை சுழல்கிறது. இந்திய இராணுவத்தில் சேர்வதில் தீரா ஆர்வமுள்ள இந்த இரண்டு பாத்திரங்களிலும் விக்னேஷ் நடிக்கிறார். மூன்றாம் உலகப் போருக்குப் பின் நடக்கும் கற்பனை கதையாக ‘ரெட் ஃப்ளவர்’ மலரும். இந்த படத்தில் மாறுபட்ட கதாபாத்திரங்களுக்காக தனது எடையை 82 கிலோவிலிருந்து 69 கிலோவாக குறைத்ததாகவும், வெளிநாட்டில் ஸ்டண்ட் மற்றும் பிற பயிற்சிகளை மேற்கொண்டதாகவும் விக்னேஷ் கூறுகிறார்
மனிஷா ஜஷ்னானி நாயகியாக நடிக்க, நாசர், ஒய் ஜி மகேந்திரன், சுரேஷ் மேனன், ஜான் விஜய், அஜய் ரத்னம், லீலா சாம்சன், டி எஸ் கார்த்திக், கோபி கண்ணதாசன், தலைவாசல் விஜய், மோகன் ராம் மற்றும் யோக் ஜேபி ஆகியோர் முக்கிய வேடங்களில் நடிக்கின்றனர்.
‘ரெட் ஃப்ளவர்’ படத்திற்கு கே. தேவ சூர்யா ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்ய, சந்தோஷ் ராம் இசை அமைக்க, அரவிந்தன் படத்தொகுப்பை கையாள்கிறார். விஎஃப்எக்ஸ் துறையை பிரபாகரன் கவனிக்க, சண்டைக்காட்சிகளை இடி மின்னல் இளங்கோ வடிவமைத்துள்ளார். பாடல்களை மணி அமுதவன் எழுதுகிறார்.
தயாரிப்பு வடிவமைப்பாளராக கே.கார்த்திக் பங்காற்ற, ஏ.பி.முகமது ஒப்பனையை கவனிக்க, தேனி சீனு ஸ்டில்சுக்கு பொறுப்பேற்க,ஏ.அமல் ராஜ் ஆடைகளை வடிவமைத்துள்ளார்.
விமானம், ராணுவ லாரி, கன்டெய்னர் கப்பல் என 11 சண்டைக்காட்சிகள் பிரமிக்க வைக்கும் வகையில் படத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளன என கூறிய இயக்குநர், ஸ்டண்ட் மாஸ்டர் இடி மின்னல் இளங்கோ ‘ரெட் ஃப்ளவர்’ படத்திற்காக கடினமாக உழைத்துள்ளார் என்றார், “விஎஃப்எக்ஸ் இயக்குநர் பிரபாகரனின் செட் மேற்பார்வை அலாதியானது. ஒவ்வொன்றையும் சிறந்த திட்டமிடலுடன் அவர் செய்ததால் எங்கள் பணி இன்னும் சுவாரசியமாக அமைந்தது,” என அவர் மேலும் கூறினார்.
ஒளிப்பதிவு பற்றி இயக்குநர் ஆண்ட்ரூ பாண்டியன் கூறும்போது, “ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் கே தேவசூர்யாவின் உழைப்பு படத்தை புதிய உயரத்திற்கு இட்டு சென்றுள்ளது. படத்தின் ஒவ்வொரு ஃப்ரேமையும் அவர் செதுக்கிய விதம் பிரமிப்பூட்டும் வகையில் இருந்தது,” என்றார்.
ஸ்ரீ காளிகாம்பாள் பிக்சர்ஸ் கே.மாணிக்கம் தயாரிப்பில் உருவாகி வரும் ‘ரெட் ஃப்ளவர்’ ஆக்ஷன் திரைப்படம் இது வரை திரையில் சொல்லப்படாத ஒரு விஷயம் குறித்து பேசும் என்று கதை, திரைக்கதை, வசனம் எழுதி இயக்கும் ஆண்ட்ரூ பாண்டியன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
